This patient had the problem of open bite (a misalignment in which upper and lower incisors do not make contact with each other) because of the tongue thrust swallowing and the finger sucking habit.

It is a typical case of interceptive orthodontics, in which only a simple removable brackets was placed in order to control these habits.

12-year-old Carlota has recently come back to complete her treatment and align all her teeth. We will wait for the full eruption of canines and then place brackets for one year.
