Curso para ortodoncistas y sus auxiliares: Trabajo en equipo con el Sistema Incognito

At the clinic, on the 13th and 14th of July we organized a theoretical and practical course entitled “teamwork with the Incognito System”. Te course was attended by seven people, 3M Unitek clients and users of the Incognito Lingual Orthodontics System. Amongst them were three orthodontists and the other four were assistants. Some of the orthodontists were form Algeciras(Cádiz) as in the case of Dr Carina Mora and Dr Francisco González with their team of auxiliaries and we are also accompanied by Dr Guillermo Ibaseta together with his team of assistants from Gijón. The aim of the course was to implement the Incognito Lingual technique into daily clinical practice bringing both the orthodontist and the assistant into the work.
The programme included both revision on the theoretical concepts of manufacture and instructions for filling out the laboratory orders for the various types of treatment.
We also dealt with specifics of impression taking, luting, re-luting, instructions on how to use the various types of ligations, the use of elastics and resolving emergencies.
To complete the course, we also had a practical part where we worked on typodonts. This is essential in order to bring up any doubts and consolidate what was learned.
It was a very interesting and enriching experience which we shared and enjoyed for 48 hours. Those who attended commented in their questionnaires that what they learned far exceeded their expectations. Also, living for two days with other auxiliaries and Doctors was very enlightening and useful for them. So much so that the course seemed far too short!!
All this would not have been possible without the help of our own marvellous team of auxiliaries who made such a great effort in carrying out the course even at the cost of their weekend. Thank you.
