Incognito – Curso de formación continuada Julio 2012.

On the 6th of July the On-going training course for the Incognito Lingual Technique was held over one day in Madrid at the Hotel Meliá Avenida América. The course was given entirely by Dr Leandro Fernández.
The aim of the course was to attempt to help the attending orthodontists to overcome the barriers which hold them back from offering the Incognito system to their patients as another alternative and to facilitate integrating the system on their daily practice. The content of the course was aimed at helping the attending orthodontist acquire broad and solid theoretical training and this feel self-assured when offering incognito to their patients.
The on-going training course was intended for certified orthodontists with experience with less than 5 patients. The programme included indications such as what to include when filling out the laboratory order and for impression taking (the brackets are made exactly to measure for the patient so they are exclusive to the person for whom they were made. It was also explained how to ligate the brackets, even when the patient has a dental prosthesis in the mouth, and the correct treatment both when extractions were not necessary and when it was necessary to extract teeth.
Furthermore, there were exercises with typodonts and the attending Doctors even had the opportunity to send clinical cases about which they had doubts and Doctor Fernández proposed solutions in public so that those attending could learn from the problems of others.
The course was a resounding success, with more than 98% considering the course content and the speaker to be of an excellent level.
