This month we have been visited by two foreign orthodontists in our clinic of Malaga to join us and implement our working way with the self- ligating systems (Smartclip and Clarity SL) and Incognito (Lingual Orthodontics) of 3M Unitek.
Dr Jorunn Skaaland came from Norway to visit us on the 14th and 15th. This doctor is starting to use the SmartClip system with the MBT technique. Although she already has more than 50 cases on the go, she wanted to make the most of the mechanical and management advantages that are offered by the self-ligating systems of 3M. As it is the only twin self-ligating bracket, not only can we apply the majority of the procedures we use in conventional orthodontics, but also we can simplify some procedures and we can even make movements that we would find very hard using self-ligating brackets of other systems or conventional brackets.
On the 27th and 28th of September we had Dr Dalia Latkauskiene from Lithuania, who studied in the Kaunas University of Medicine and she has a wide experience in orthodontics.
We hope both of them have been able to make the most of their visit and they will be able to apply what it is more suitable for their working way!!!
