1ª Sesión clínica del Curso de Incognito de Valencia
The first Clinical Session of the Course of Lingual Orthodontics with the Incognito invisible bracket system took place on the 30th of March, and Dr Leandro Fernandez is in the teaching staff. This clinical session is part of the practical part of the Course and it is when the students, guided by the teachers, treat the patients. There are also moments when some students present the specific features of their cases so that all the students show the others the difficulties and peculiarities that they come across.
In this 1st Clinical Session they placed Incognito lingual brackets to 13 patients, also called bracket bonding. One of the special features of this system is that, as it is completely personalized, each bracket has the inner form of the teeth in which it has to be bonded.
Both teachers and students decide the treatment plan they are going to carry out, as well as the archwire they will need for that treatment. They also send the silicone records of the patient’s mouth. In Germany, according to the doctors’ order forms, they make the appliance taking into account the movements expressed in such order form and personalizing the base’s anatomy of each bracket, as well as the form of the archwire.
From Germany we are sent a splint which contains the brackets in the exact position they have to be placed in the mouth. The base is perfectly adapted to the teeth to be bonded. It is an incredibly technical procedure that allows completely predictable and clearly defined results.
We are sure we will see good progress before long!
